This website is all about the fulfillment of a retirement dream that Ann and I share. That dream was to retire to some of the best boating waters in the world and become reasonably accomplished boaters, ultimately taking our own boat from our new home in Port Ludlow, WA to the inside passage of Alaska.
Our story is not unlike those told by many others. As you move into your “mature years”, you begin to ask yourself questions about retirement. The What, The Where, and The When start to play in your mind with as much regularity as annual taxes. This is the story of how a couple of “non-boaters” came to appreciate and ultimately become “boat owners” with over 1200 miles under their belts. Click here for the rest of the story.

SpiritQuest is a grand name for a grand boat. Spend some time getting to know her. She is an extremely well equipped Krogen and is prepared to take on far more than her loving owners.
